Our Motivation

I have co-founded Hayver as a result of my personal struggle with alcohol and opiate addiction. For fifteen years, I was constantly in and out of treatment programs and rarely stayed sober. I’m a physician and I scoured the world literature searching for evidence-based, well-designed studies in the medical journals for what works for improving chances for long-term sobriety. What I found was alarming. Physicians and other licensed professionals have around a 78% chance of being abstinent from drugs and alcohol after five years, but the rest of the general population have around a 5% chance of abstinence. Statistically, they don’t stand a chance.

Accountability monitoring: checking in daily, with the random possibility of being urine tested that day. It’s the psychological deterrence that works.

Based on the success of the professional programs, we developed the first monitoring randomized drug and alcohol testing with peer-to-peer accountability support and crypto-rewards to dramatically improve recovery outcomes.     John M. Copenhaver, M.D.

The Staggering Facts

110 million people worldwide suffer from alcoholism or drug addiction

20.8 million Americans suffer from chronic substance abuse

Only 2.2 million individuals (10.4 percent) received any type of treatment

Worldwide about 3.3 million deaths are attributable to alcohol consumption

135,000 deaths: In the U.S., alcohol misuse contributes to 88,000 deaths each year; in 2014, there were 47,055 drug overdose deaths.

Hayver Platform

On the Hayver App, Clients Have Access to Long-Term Monitoring,
Previously Typically Only Available to Licensed Professionals

A digital behavior-change platform based on 5 foundations:

1 – Psychological Deterrence – Platform randomly selects Members for urine testing based on prior behavior

2 – Peer-to-Peer Accountability – Activities and notifications are provided to Member’s Circle of Support

3 – Psychological Incentives with Crypto-Rewards – Members and the Circle of Support are rewarded for healthful activities and outcomes

4 – Love Economy – Circle of Support sends feedback to the Member via love, hugs and kudos emojis, triggering psychological desire/need to accumulate them and be rewarded, similar effect to the like button on Facebook ❤️🤘

5 – Health and Educational Information – Members and the Circle of Support will be able to access digital education modules, lectures, and materials.

Did we say we were building an ecosystem?
What we really meant was an ECOSPHERE.

The World's Premier Crypto-Reward

The Duitcoin is envisioned as the world’s premier crypto-reward, symbolizing heroic courage. The currency will be deployed first in the Hayver multi-lingual mobile app and, second, in global partners’ apps to help conquer one of the most daunting challenges humans have ever faced: overcoming addiction.

Duitcoins will be issued as ERC-20/223 tokens on the public Ethereum network.

Hayver Recovery Score

The Hayver Platform tracks Members’ activity within the App and assigns a Hayver Recovery Score (HRS), a numeric value based on the previous 24-hour period and cumulative daily behaviors for relapse predictive purposes. Each Member will develop an HRS between 50 and 150, with the mean score of 100 as a predictive value of future behaviors and outcomes.

The benefit is that the Circle of Support–and most importantly the Member– has objective data to better manage and intervene appropriately to prevent relapse back into chronic substance use.

Based on the HRS, the Member will be eligible for Hayver and third-party services like credit card, employment placement, and insurance, helping them strengthen their recovery and build bridges to a better life.

Global Partnerships

Addiction, though endemic in the developed world, is fundamentally a local problem. Apps serving local populations must be tailored to local cultures. The local merchant & service-provider networks required to make the Duitcoin reward currency flourish must be built regionally.   The success of Hayver’s mission hinges on global partnerships with organizations that have regional footholds. Immediately after launching the Duitcoin, Hayver will begin cementing the relationships necessary to expand its own regional Duitcoin ecosystem into a global Duitcoin ecosphere.

The Duitcoin will build value

while also helping those fighting addiction.

“The current methods for treating addiction are inadequate. We are introducing a new paradigm: crypto-incentivized rewards for patients and communities through blockchain-based, peer-to-peer health and wellness applications that capture behavioral performance and measure outcomes.”
